Fundraising Events That Make A Difference
Impact Auctions Fundraising Auctioneer, Debbie and Ron Hitzel, auctioned off 28 packages in Charlotte for the Cystic Fibrosis Chapter this past weekend raising precious funding for such a great cause at the Guys and Dolls event. Ron’s motto is to have fun up on stage while event planner, Debbie, is getting the crowd involved and helping the bids to climb. The Guys and the Dolls are responsible for putting together packages to be auctioned to a crowd of about 500 people.
Cystic Fibrosis needs everyones helps in finding a cure for a disease the Government does not fund.
The Guys & Dolls Auction Gala is one of Charlotte’s premier social events featuring some of the area’s most prominent Young Professionals who join the CF Foundation in the fight for a cure as “Guys” and “Dolls”. Each raises funds in honor of a local child with cystic fibrosis and creates a fabulous Live Auction Package which is sold to the highest bidder on event night. Each year, attendees fill the room for a night of fun, spectacular entertainment and charitable giving.
Now in its 16th year, Guys & Dolls is a Charlotte tradition, consistently raising more than a quarter million dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation each year. Through events like Guys & Dolls, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has raised and committed hundreds of millions of dollars to help develop CF drugs and therapies.
Real progress toward a cure has been made, but the lives of young people with CF are still cut far too short. We need the public’s continued support to fulfill our mission and help extend the lives of those with the disease.
